ST. PETER'S DAY

St. Peter's Day is a very special day in the year for our church.  It is a day set aside to celebrate St. Peter and St. Paul.
The day entails a wonderful service quite often with special guests.  The altar is adorned in red as are many of our  parishioners, as they proudly wear their St. Peter's t-shirts.  An afternoon of food and fellowship follow service.
Special thanks are bestowed upon our young acolytes as they are presented with small tokens of appreciation for their service.
The annual Vicar's Award is presented to a parishioner(s) who has given of their time and talents during the year to further the mission of St. Peter's.

The Altar is adorned in red to celebrate!
St. Peter's Day has often incorporated
important celebrations.
In 2005 newly built Inspiration Hall was dedicated by Rev. Ted Gulick.
St. Peter's Day 2008 marked the 40th anniversary into the priesthood for Priest Associate Rev. Nick Jaeger.
A mortgage burning ceremony was held to celebrate paying off the debt owed on
Inspiration Hall-a huge accomplishment!
This year was no exception and despite gloomy skies the dedication of "The Labyrinth" at
St. Peter's of the Lakes took place in June 2011.

Special gifts are presented to
our young Acolytes to show
our appreciation for their
hard work and dedication.
A personal prayer book signed
by Bishop Gulick, Julie Jaeger
and Rev. Nick in 2010 will be
a wonderful keepsake.

As a retirement gift, Bishop Ted Gulick
was presented with a picture of St. Peter's  autographed with signatures and well wishes from parishioners in June 2010.

Julie Jaeger, Head of the
Acolyte program at
Grace Episcopal Church
in Paducah was invited
to give the Homily
